Why do they en mass oppose the Fairness Doctrine?

1. Because that would give the liberal media more power which would be unfair

to conservative news media which they believe is oppressed, remember beliefs trump facts with the conservative.

2. Belief trumps fact everywhere. Peope WANT to believe and

insist on believing and will become vehement and then violent when they are frustrated in their beliefs.

That's not to say belief is always destructive. It's important to remember that belief often precedes reality. From that point of privilege, beliefs then shape realities and perceptions of realities that are belief-sustaining.

3. But if they really believed there was a Liberal bias.

The Fairness Doctrine would force that this Liberal Bias would be countered.

4. Not in Conservative land the FD, in their fact-less world, it would create

more liberal outlets while restricting conservative outlets. Reality is they understand what the FD will do which backs them into a corner because they don't want the liberal voice heard and their liberal bias argument would fall flat on it's face. The way it is, without the FD, allows them to claim news is slanted to the left even though it isn't true, remember they don't care about truth or fact they just want to be able to claim something even if it is based on lies with no proof of falsehood. The FD would shine light on their lie about a liberal bias.
